What is the Dell Augmented Hackathon about?

The Dell Augmented Hackathon is an online challenge culminating in a weekend hackathon event. The objective is to discover talented, multi-skilled creators and makers, who will be offered full-time job opportunities at Dell Technologies’ Experience Innovation Group (EIG) in Singapore. The winning teams from the hackathon will also win from a cash prize pool of S$25,000 and awesome Dell Technologies products.

The theme is “augmented”. Participants will focus on ideas for building superior products and exceptional experiences that will power the massive transformation in the way people do their jobs.

Is this Hackathon about Augmented Reality (AR)?

No. This Hackathon does not solely revolve around Augmented Reality. We're using the word 'Augmented' as a broad theme for this Hackathon as we focus on improving or enhancing people's experiences when they interact with technology. We want to push the boundaries of technology to shape the future of productivity. Our focus is not on AR, but rather on the enhancement or augmentation of products, experiences, and processes to shape the Future of Work. And AR may well be one of the technologies you choose to employ.

My current location is not in Southeast Asia.

May I still participate?

Yes, you can still participate, irrespective of your nationality and / or current location. However, please note that the job opportunities being offered are located in Singapore. You may have to relocate to fill the position you’re offered, subject to visa approvals.

At the first stage of this Hackathon, we will accept submissions from individuals only.

Participants cannot form their own teams. We are inviting individual submissions from prospective participants.

These individual submissions will be evaluated and shortlisted participants will be invited to join the Hackathon in Singapore on 7-8 March.
